Parker Relays

Saturday's meet is always fun for everyone involved. Some guys were able to swim different distances or events than they're used to. Medals are always a big motivator on Saturdays and the Parker Relays was no different. We medaled in 7 of the 10 events and finished the meet tied for 5th. Overall, the boys swam well.

Craig vs LaFollette

It was a tough for the boys to get themselves really motivated for Friday's meet against Madison LaFollette. Swimming against a team with eight swimmers doesn't give us much competition but the team as a whole still performed well. Many PR's were set.

Cougar Relays 2009

The Cougar Relays was a great time even from the very beginning. The Craig sound system was blaring during warm ups and swimmers were singing along and rockin' with the music.
The parents contributed to and worked the concession stand which was busy during the entire meet.
In addition to the traditional Freestyle, IM, and Medley relays, the Cougars mixed it up with a Backstroke Relay, a Class Relay (a freshman, a sophomore, a junior, and a senior), 2 Crescendo Relays (50-100-150-200 & 50-100-200-500), and a Rocket Relay (8 swimmers each swimming a 50 free). Four meet records were set (400 Medley, 300 Back, 400 Free, and 300 Breast). The Craig breaststroke relay team of Mattox, Strub, and Loftus broke the meet record (3:23.87, set by Marquette University HS in 2008) with a time of 3:16.75.
Coungratulations to all our swimmers and to everyone who helped to make the 2009 Cougar Relays a HUGE SUCCESS!

Craig @ Parker

Craig opened their competitive season with their 10th straight defeat of crosstown rival, Parker. Parker 75, Craig 95.
There was a great turn out of fans and students to support the team. Thanks much and KEEP IT UP!
